Work of the Week: Promo-trailers for Francophone Month

This edition of Work of the Week involves two trailers that PBB’s photography and video production studio Silver Salt   delivered in collaboration with Quebec-city based Studio Nord Est  for the Annual Mois de la Francophonie at the request of the Embassy of France in Beijing. The festival which runs through the end of the month aims to shine a light on the culture of Francophone countries of which there are 58 official member states which include the likes of Canada, Haiti, Rwanda, Vietnam and 54 other countries in between.

Under Silver Salt’s creative direction, Studio Nord Est’s  motion design breathes life into the event’s visual identity. The two trailers below compress the breadth of the festival and the depth of Francophone culture in two bite-size trailers with the first being a montage of the 21 films from 19 countries that are on display throughout the month. The second trailer gives prospective attendees an inviting wink at the who’s who of writers, musicians, actors and architects who will be present during the sessions which include book signings, concerts, plays and even a hackathon.
